Empowering Children Through Pre-School Multiple Intelligences

Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences diagram showing eight intelligence types

Harvard University Professor Howard Gardner's famous Theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) states that every child has at least eight types of intelligences.

Apple founder Steve Jobs did not graduate from university and Alibaba founder Jack Ma may not have been academically accomplished. By traditional education standards where success is synonymous with good grades, they have both failed! Yet they are successful figures in their field today because they were given the opportunity to realise their unique talents.

Multiple Intelligences (MI) Curriculum

At ChildFirst, we cultivate your children's unique talent through our pre-school Multiple Intelligences (MI) curriculum. Our muscles get strengthened with regular exercise. Similarly, your children's intelligences develop with regular exercise. As a result, their dominant intelligences become stronger and their weaker intelligences can also be awakened.

18 Months – 4 Years Old

At our award-winning pre-school, your children will be engaged in more than 100 pre-school multiple intelligences (MI) activities every year that are designed to continuously exercise their mind and strengthen their unique talents. Our thematic approach introduces young ones to specific topics that are centred around their world and everyday life such as "The World of Animals", "Food" and "Transportation". This makes learning more meaningful and helps their brains make connections faster.

5 – 6 Years Old

Our 5- and 6-year-old children progress to MI projects that nurture a creative and forward-thinking mindset. They will be exposed to 21st century themes such as Digital Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking that will culminate with a project at the end of the term. These MI projects will enable your child to try new ideas and ways of thinking, work with digital tools, and problem-solve as they collaborate with their peers.

MIPS Talent Discovery

Our MIPS (Multiple Intelligences Personalised Series) Talent Discovery offers your child the unique opportunity to experience different enrichment programmes that encompass the spectrum of MIs every term or semester. This enables your child to discover his or her passion and talent so that you can further develop it to its fullest potential.
