With the teachers' thoughtful guidance, she has made progress across many areas of learning. Coding lessons have taught her how to think, to embrace challenges, and to be more willing to try new things. Of course, none of this growth would have been possible without the constant support of the teachers.
I find that the structured and systematic approach to coding, and the optimisation of code, trains our children to approach topics and problems critically, while allowing them to break problems down into bite-sized portions and tackle them one by one. And such skills will put them in good stead in the future.

ChildFirst actually shows us that learning Mandarin can be interesting whereby they actually teach children how words are being formed.
The better part of this robotics competition is that she has learnt how to communicate with her classmates and how important teamwork is.

We had a difficult period previously when our daughter E struggled with the transition to a new teacher, and it affected her more deeply than we initially expected. I want to specifically thank Ms Linn, the principal, for how she handled the situation. From the moment we raised our concerns, she was patient, responsive and genuinely willing to listen. She never made us feel that we were overreacting or being difficult parents, and she took the time to understand what our daughter was going through and what could be done to help her settle back in. What I appreciated most was the follow-through. Ms Linn kept in close contact with us, checked in on Emma, and worked with the teachers to make sure she felt comfortable and secure again. Over time, we could see the difference ourselves and our daughter became happy and confident about going to school again. As parents, we know that not everything will always go perfectly in a preschool environment. What matters to us is how concerns are handled when they do arise, and in this case Ms Linn gave us a lot of confidence in the centre.

More importantly, the teachers are genuinely caring and dedicated to the children. Our elder daughter had such a lovely time here and formed many happy memories with her friends and teachers. Our younger daughter genuinely looks forward to going to school — even during her sister's primary school holidays, when we offer to let her stay home for the day with her sister, she will still ask us to send her to school! We think that says a lot about how happy and comfortable she feels there. We also really appreciate that the children's meals are freshly cooked, healthy and delicious.

When my daughter first started Pre-Nursery, she took some time to settle in, and I'm very grateful for the teachers' patience, warmth and encouragement, which helped her adjust quickly. It is not often that you find a preschool that earns your complete trust, but ChildFirst Tampines has done exactly that for our family. My son graduated from the centre in 2022, and when my daughter turned 18 months old in 2024, choosing ChildFirst Tampines again was one of the easiest decisions we made. The three reasons I chose ChildFirst without attending other preschools' open houses were: 1) My nieces and nephew who attended ChildFirst praised the food and how fun it was to go to school. 2) We lived within a 10-minute walk of ChildFirst. 3) We liked the Chinese programme the school curated. ChildFirst uses the latest app to ensure smooth communication with parents, plans celebrations to help children appreciate different cultures, and enhances activities at every level to prepare children for primary school. I have noticed that my son has a solid interest in and good command of Chinese.
